is it worth the 400? how much hp will it add?

$400 for a Cobra Intake?! NO WAY IN HELL!!! Unless this thing is chromed out and ported all to hell, and even then I'm not sure it's worth it.

If it's a stock Cobra intake, you will actually get better HP increases using a stock Explorer intake. And you can get one of those for about $100 or so.

Here's a chart (that I post frequently) that shows HP differences between a GT40 intake, a Cobra intake, and the Explorer intake.

I got mine from a junkyard. I found the junkyard by going to www.car-parts.com and plugged in the info i needed. I paid $350 for an entire 1996 Explorer engine. Only wanted the intake and heads but it was a decent deal so I grabbed everything.

stay with 96 if you don't wanna buy special headers, speaking on terms of the heads, if you plan to use them.

most of the GT40's upper and lower opn ebay are around 300. forabout a 100 more i could get a trick flow. so any estimates on a hp increas from the GT40's?
