car acts lean with o2's plugged in need help
i have asked this question awhile back, but didn't get anywhere.
the l/t's have been on the car for a year.
bought some extension harnesses through summit
unplugged them one day....they were hanging too low.
drove it the next day,and it just started cutting out, until
i gave it more gas. sooooo i took it as a fuel problem, and replaced everything.
still did it. so i tackled my ignition, electical, timing, including a new set of o2's.
then one day i unplugged my o2's from underneath my mass air.
now it runs fine except for it running a little fat off idle.
has anybody ran across this problem?if so can you help me out?

Instead of throwing parts at it which can sot a lot of money AND time, hook it up to a scan tool and see what is really wrong with it.
Disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and let the computer relearn, see if this helps...it's free!

fuel filter, plugs flushed it pressure testing are common precautions, and i even unplugged neg cable too
had ford even check it out.
even had my speed shop check it out, said my o2's just can't keep up with c/h/i.
hell i don't know[] maybe those harnesses are funked up.

How do you know you're running lean? If you have that many mods, you should have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Try upping the pressure. Stock fuel pressure should be around 38psi, and you should definately be above that. If you're not getting enough fuel for the air you take in, it could be a fuel problem, also, I don't how great the 88 computers are, but the comp in my 95 is pretty limited. You may need a chip to make it all run right. Hope this helps.

PS
It shouldn't be your o2 sensors, as they measure unburned hydrocarbons, and if you have the correct fuel/air mix, it should be good, so it should be a fuel problem.
