eBay...I JUST missed a huge deal for 162.50!!! Mass air CPU, harness kit, fuel rails, and new MAF! Just no tubing but what the hell?! You can fab or find junk ones, or just buy a CAI.

For a deal like 163$ you could have had all that and bought a new bbk CAI for far under 500$, and you would have been set, just realize that you should get the CAI that mounts in your fenderwell as for the ones that do not, just suck up hot air from your engine bay. Good luck.

well it wouldnt be considerd a "cold air" intake if the filter is still in the engine bay.... thats why they call it "cold air" coz its ment to be sucking up colder air then whats in engine compartment..... i guess some people just dont get it lol

RE: MAF COnversion kit
yeah im currently looking for a conversion kit aswell....if you find a good one let me know! ive heard that a stock intake w/ a k&n is actually better than a conical filter in the engine bay because it draws air from the fender.....ive also heard that a stock w/ k&n is just as good as an aftermarket cold air that does take air from fender.....is this true? or is it worth my $$ to grab a cold air kit?

RE: MAF COnversion kit
Well they do still call them cold air intakes although they are mounted inside the engine compartment. Although technically it is not getting cold air, that is the term that they use, it is up to you to specify which style you want.

RE: MAF COnversion kit
Ford Racing Performance Parts sells the MAF conversion kit and the list price is around $595 but you can find it discounted well below that at some of the larger Ford Motorsports dealers like Summit, Holcomb Motorsports, etc. It comes with everything necessary for the conversion and it's a plug and play system which is easy to install as is just plugs into the existing harness.
