Default How to cut the clutch cable?

I am in the process of changing out my clutch cable and I can't get it unhooked from the tranny, the bolt is sideways and I can't get a wrench or rachet around it.

What would be the best way to cut the cable. I have a new cable so I could care less about this one.

I figure wire cutters but not sure how strong they need to be.

put pressure on the clutch fork with a pry barand release the tension on the cable then slip it out the hole.

Well I got the new cable on, it's to late to take it out now. I will test it out tomorrow and see if it's working.

Trust me it crossed my mind!

I will be taking it outside shortly to see if everything is working, if not then it's a whole new clutch and flywheel for me -

I'm pretty sure it was just the cable though -

why doesnt anyone ever listen to me?????

press down the clutch pedal and insert a socket in the bellhousing where the clutch fork is. it will keep it pressed forward. then simply take your foot off the pedal and the cable will go loose

its really not rocket science
