going crazy....what intake
well i have just about gone nuts trying to decide what intake to run, my current combo is a 306 that has been balanced, trickflow track heat heads, an anderson n-41 (switching to n-71 pretty quickly), 5 speed w/ 410's, and running a 150 shot, was leaning towards the track heat or rpm 2, but with the range on the n-71 i was thinking about the trick flow r intake.

what are your goals for the car.. the THS TH intake and THS R are very high end intakes... you arent going to make much tq with them and your gonna have to spin the hell out of your motor to make good power

see now thats where i was getting lost , according to tfw web site the r series (not box) range is from 2500 - 7250 with the 75mm tb and 3 - 8 with the 90-mm tb. i'm the 75 mm, the track heat is 2500 to 6250 i was just thinking with the cams range being from 2500 to 6500 (and the n-71 going up to 7500) would i "out grow the th" because the current n-41 is coming out in a month or two.

well.. let me ask you this.. How well is your motor balanced?
Do you have good springs in your heads?
if your motor isnt balanced for 7500 rpms, you wont make it there... you WILL split your block.
get the TFS TH, and wind the car to 6500rpms... you have no need to go higher
and I was looking at the R box, with 90mm tb opening...

motor was internally balanced within a certain amount of grams, i dont remember the exact #s, the springs are what comes in the track heat head(good for 600 lift) , 1.46od

Adder is right, you need to ask Rick Anderson about his springs also. The springs may be good to .600" lift but rpm plays a huge roll with a hydraulic roller cam. The guys at Comp Cams told me anything above6200 rpm takes alot of spring pressure to control all the weight of the valve train. DSS told me anything above 6500 rpmwith a stock and you are on borrowed time. If you have it internally balanced then it sounds like you have a nice piece.
