I have an automatic trans laying around from my old 86 gt. I want to know if itis a c4 or an aod. I dont have it here right now. The only thing i remember is that the trans pan said METRIC on it. It still shifts good, withabout 105kso i was wondering what could i sell it for?

RE: auto trans
If the bell housing unbolts from the case, it is gonna be a C4 or C5. More than likely it will be a C4. If it doesn't unbolt it will more than likely be an AOD. I guess theres allways the possability that he may have the elusive C6 that most people dislike on here. I had a small block C6 on a 255 in my old truck and it worked great. Sorry for the rambling guys!!! LOL

RE: auto trans
Ive seen a used stock AOD go for anywhere between $150-$500. Theyre like the red-headed step-child of Ford autos. Most go with a C4 or C6 and skip right over the AOD.
A rebuilt AOD can run as high as $1400 or more so $500 would be a steal for lots of us. Id list it with a set price with an OBO (or best offer) and take it from there. Check ebay to.
