I want to put a331 stroker kit in my 88 5.0. what heads,cam , intake should I go with?

well thats a generic question and with the information you provided I would have to say.... do an HCI that fits a 302

You need to be more specific... how much power are you looking for? what is the bottom end going to consist of? Do you still want to run pump gas? Do you want something thats got tons of bottom end or top end power... these are all crucial pieces of information.

 

whats funny, you might spend more money on the HCI than the stroker block alone

its like paying $1500 twice

 

I'm doing a 331 stroker and a Trick Flow track heat upper end kit with it. Comes with heads, intake, cam, push rods, valve covers, rockers, timing set and gaskets. All you need is 24lb injectors, 70mm T/B and you'll be good for about 400 crank HP.

You're right... but I was just being on the safe side. My combo is also gonna get a 125 shot of nitrous... that'll put me over 525hp and I'm really worried I'm going to end up splitting the stock block.

 

That Trickflow kit is awesome...I just threw it on mine.

It is not just Trickflow parts though...they piece together parts from all different companys...

For instance, the head bolts were ARP, and the Gaskets where...................I cannot remember, but they were not Trickflow

 

get those reinforcements for the block, that way if it splits, your internals will be ok.
