Default 4.30's too much for 5-speed FOX...

I almost never drive on the freeway, I drove on the freeway like a few times and I dont really have a need to drive on the freeway. But since im doing a gear swap, I want 4.10's but I mid as well go 4.30, all my driving is city. But is that serioulys too much for a street fox,Im staying N/A if that helps. Also will 4.30 gears be too much shifting for for a manual, I mean I want killer acceleration, but I dont want too much over kill or I dont want to regret getting 4.30's if thats too much, OR should I stick with 4.10's. I know 4.30s rev like 300 rpm higher but will 4.30's kill city driving MPG

I think you should go with the 4.10's, everyone that's got 'em loves 'em.

4.30s on any street car IMO is a bad idea. It will be very tiresome to drive, shifting every 2 seconds. plus 4.10s are MORE THAN ENOUGH gears, and unless you run drag radials you wont even feel the difference between 4.10s and 4.30s because of traction issues.

IMO 3.73's are too much for the street for me,man does it tiresome to change every couple of seconds, but that's just city driving so i would never go over 4.10's

well with the 430s you will need a taller tire like a 28 cause a 26 youll just be turning ot many rpms. see with gears and racing you want to be in the lowest gear at the highest rpms possible. you dont want to be going down the track in 5th. go with either 373 or 410 for racing appilcations if your using a 26 tall tire. if your running a smaller tire run 355. now if you do alot of track days with huge tires go 28 and 430s
