Default TRANNY REBUILDERS...HELP!!

alright...i dropped a small screw into my tranny where the arrow is pointing. it isnt magnetic so i cant get it out without taking off the tranny idt. i want to take the transmission apart from the bolts that are shown (second arrow). i was wondering if the tranny could be left in the car while i do this. on mine it doesnt look like it would interfeer with anything. my quesiton is can this be done and when i remove the rear of the tranny what will come out. i dont want to screw with the gears.

ok so i'm guessing u have a tremic right???....... well that doesn't realy matter because u should be able to get the screw out anyway even if itisn't magnetic... the screw is in the shifter houseing right? and do u mean a screw or a bolt? what did the screw/bolt come off of? how big is it?

if it is infact a T-5, you CAN remove just the tail section, and easily. However, you will have to get a roll pin punch and pop out the roll pin in the block that the end of the shifter sits in, then after unbolting the tailsection, it will slide off

yes that can be done with it in the car BUT it's a huge pain in the ***, and he said it was a tremic adder.... which it can still be done they come apart the same way it's just more work to fenagle the tail housing off expecialy since u have to press down on the shifter base and
