5 inch ext hood

5 inch ext hood
anyone ever seen a 5 inch ext hood bolt on still using the hinges and latch from the factory? all of the ones that I have seen have been lift off and that is not what I want i want a bolt on.

if your car isnt carbed or yoru firewall isnt the air inlet no need for that hood. you would be a ricer if you had it. no you can bolt it on, no you cant hinge it. its true lift off hood. and they are kinda cheap

I haven't seen them that big either. I have seen 3 or 3 1/2" ones.
Cowl hoods arent only for carbs. A functional cowl hood will allow air to vent from the engine compartment. The air being forced through the grill will flow up through the compartment, and exit the cowl. This will keep the overall engine temp. down.

like i stated THAT hood not all cow hoods are for carbs. THAT style hood gets all of its air from the windshield where as most cowl hoods for foxs arent close to the windshield.
