Default Engine options

I sort of wrote a plan for my 88GT last night, and I cam eot the conclusion that I don't want to do any serious mods to my engine, For the mear fact that I would like to either rebuild a new engine or purchase a crate engine. I really just want a dependable 350 hp what would be the easiset and cheapest way to get to that goal and what would be a recommended transmission to sit behaind it I would just like to have some sort of direction to start to research after I finish up my suspension and exhaust mods. Thanks for any help in advance.

easiest way to get there with the least amount of hassle changing stuff is do buy/build a 347 stoker motor with goods heads, cam, etc. you will need to upgrade your tranny to a better one no matter what you have now, 5 speed or auto, so start doing research on these too. www.lentechautomatics.com is a good place to check out for auto trannies.

then maybe a tremic............ but bolt ons and nos would be cheapest and would get you there....... or you could spend money on a s/c setup and put it on there, then when you get new motor you already got one to make serious power

all motor you say? thats a lot for wanting not to do any "serious" mods.. to me serious = boost, juice, internals, etc. i dont know if u can hit 350 just bolt ons.. id aim for 300

i would say you for sure cant get 350 with just bolt ons LOL, but nos is basicly a bolt on and takes very little time.... look at that dbeck guy, hes got just about every bolt on there is and hes' 275-300ish..... maybe with an intake you might see 300 even

you can also check out www.fordracing.com/performanceparts for their crate engines and also check out www.coasthigh.com or www.dssracing.com also, they build engines for Stangs and specialize in stroker motors.
