Default camshafts

i have a stock 89 mustang and i want to drop a cam into it is that possible or do i need new heads internals all that stuff. i want this trickflo track heat cam http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku
can i just install it and what do i need to have it work properly

If you are doing the cam then you might as well do the heads and intake because it all has to come off to access the cam. Well the heads dont technically have to come off most people do since most do hci swaps at the same time. You will most likely see a decrease in performance putting a cam in a stock motor.

You should just be able to put it in but heads and a intake would compliment that cam alot but you will have to change your valve springs to stonger springs

i would do valve springs just becuase of valve float and how weak the stock springs have to be with milage and how old they are
