Default what is the difference?

what is the difference between a spool, a mini spool, a locker, and a traction loc. which one works best for the price? would it be better to rebuild the traction loc or buy a spool or locker? the only reason i havent installed my gears is because i want to put everything in at once. so can anyone tell me which of these is the best?

Default RE: what is the difference?

Spools and mini spools keep the axles locked together all the time I believe, eliminate the diff. I use Richmond's Powertrax locker, which also eliminates the diff, but replaces it wiht their semi-automatic locker that unlocks in a turn to allow for wheel differentiation(unless you nail the gas, then it locks up). Don't use a spool etc on the street, you'll just eat up tires when you turn.
