Anyone ever tinkered with the idea of maintaining the stock cruise control functionality while changing out to a Grant style steering wheel?

Would it be possible to arrange a series of aftermarket buttons and switches to use it?

ive never really thought about it. but i dont see why u couldnt... but sadly w. our foxes, were limited to where we can put things... i dont see anyreason you couldnt relocate it, but i do no it would be a lil difficult, unless wiring is your thing.... so short answer... have i done it-no. do i think u can-yes. do i want u to tell me how u did, so in the future i can-hellz yea

i was thinking about setting up a single toggle switch and 1 button. toggle on/off and the button for Set. gotta find a way to tap into the brake pedal wiring so i can disable/reset the button when the brakes are pressed, but i was thinking of mounting somewhere underneath the headlight switch, or in that general area.

i was thinking of putting it in my center console so you could get to it easy and using the same buttons outta the steering wheel

i dunno if you could do that... i think the buttons are molded into the wheel.

can't you buy the c/c set-up with the grant steering wheels.

I was just about to say the same thing. In the early 90's when my first car was a Toyota I wanted to retain my cruise control but at the time Grant only made a kit for Fords that retained the cruise control. I would contact Grant and find out if they still have this kit available. If I remember right it set the buttons up off the center adaptor part.
