so my car was parked infront of my house car covered and all and someone was driving by stop 15 feet past my car and put it in reverse and side swiped it in reverse and drove off and now my rim is bent in do u think it bent my axle btw this is a front wheel drive car

the arrow shows where the rim in bent in
and the other cirlce shows where most of the colision was

no body damage mostly hit my rim this is a pic before the accident ill take another tomorrow
any input would be appreciated im so depressed right now

dose it have a solid axle in the rear or is it A frames

might be bent drive it and see, no its not solid axle, fwd,lol,
i dont see any damage in the pic, sucks people are evil

yes i fixed a escort where they hit a rockery and bent the wheel in at a "v" type angle. the stuff that makes up the rear suspension is all removeable and usally its a rear cross member type thing thats removable too so its like a frame that holds everything and it bolts to the unibody

cool man i just spent 5 grand last month if u only knew the rest of the story i think i found the car chased them down an hour later got them pulled over by the cops and the cops told me they cant aresst a car and i dont have a discription of the person driving it so they let them go and im 99 % sure it was them there part of the car was damaged and the cop told me i cant try to go after the insurance but most likely i wont win

that fukin blows.. did you at least remember their plate number?? get a cop to run it or go to the dmv and find out where they live... go to their house and get pics quick

i would do that, and make their life hell till they kicked in for the damage. just harrasing them legally u know

yea well the cop said i cant prove it cuz they cant arrest a car and i didnt see the driver
