I live in chicago. I was happy to hear this. then mattdel informed me that federal law fines 10k for each cat not on that should be on. and another member served 7 months (i forgot) who. Then i decided 10hp aint worth 10k. imo

you stil have to have cats. massachusetts(my state) was the first to set this in stone, as of sept. 08. no more testing of 95 down.
but cats are a federal requirement for any car all the way back to 1973. still need them to pass your safety check.

I was glad to hear this 2, i have no cats on mine either. Only way any1 would know was if u got pulled over and the cop smelled the gas n looked under the car. im a cop and i dont care about cats

i don't ever remember having a safety check in illinois, i dont think they have them unless it's an internationally imported car, like my 71 falcon xy-gt ho from australia
