OK. i drive a V6 mustang. and today i was able to drive my uncles new 6 speed volkswagen gti.

I WAS FLOORED! it was the first really performace car ive ever drivin. im 18 years old. i couldent beleive this 4 banger with a turbo could **** on my car with such easy. it was beautiful to drive and its second and third gear ROCKED MY WORLD. LOL

now for my question. how would a 1994-1995 5.0 stock gt do agenst this car. because if a mustang GT is that much faster/quicker then my car,i dont think im going to have a 3.8L mustang for much longer.

 

a world of difference, get yourself a 5.0.

 

Sell the 6, buy an 8. Those german cars just "feel" fast.

Ever tried to do a donut in a front wheel drive car? It requires plastic trays from mcdonalds in order to work.

 

ya same thing here a buddy has a gti with 20pounds of boost rest all stock n last year everyday goin to work wed race up the long stright n i could toy with him so much.. but when he took me for a ride i was like dam this things quick but it just felt fast.. just i guess turbo n fwd is why

 

ya ive never been in a gt mustang, so i could not compare it. thats why i was asking. but a 5.0 is faster no questions?

 

one of those volkswagen gti's where at the track last night and ran 15.1 in the quarter....it sounded stock btw

 

yeah the new GTI's can be in the 14's with a good driver. stock.

 

and what do 5.0s run stock in the quatermile

 

sn95's ....mid to low 15's

foxes.......high to mid 14's

 

so thegti is faster
