Well I have a stock T-5 with a Cobra clutch, and it is fine. I just got new tires so I have to go try them out at the track, but I am no where near 500 hp... But maybe someday?

Yeah I live in CA too, in the Mojave Desert... I was just wondering if we were talking about the same guy with there 331 Stroker Supercharged, the guy I know his name is Steve and it is a white 88 5.0 GT... He was my neighbor, and I was wondering if we were talking about the same guy.

I dont think it would benefit me any to power shift because I already spin a lot in 2nd and chirp 3rd gear. I just shift normal but I shift fast and hard.

Tonight I actually got very squirly next to a car after I shifted into 2nd. It scared me so I just let off the gas. That hadn't ever happened to me. If I dont shift quite as fast and hard into 2nd then it doesn't go all crazy and stuff. Which kinda makes sense.

I used to pwer shift in Prelude that I used to think was fast. I would chirp second and it would accelerate a lot quicker shifting like that. I have always been scared to mess something up in my Coupe shifting like that.

Well I hope that your coupe is a little stronger than the Prelude you used to have. Glad you came around...

Yeah it is just a bit stronger lol. I am still getting the hang of driving a much powerful car. None of my cars have been like this one.(I have had a lot of cars for being only 20 yrs. old) I have never had to fight for traction before. It is a good feeling!

Yeah I know what you mean. I am only 17 and this is my 2nd car... A 1991 Mustang GT 5.0 .. The best car to have ever been produced in my opinion. My first car was a 1977 El Camino. It had a 350 with a T-700R4 Overdrive Auto tranny. (much like the AOD in the mustangs) I was looking for a Red 5.0 with a 5spd. One day I was driving down the road, and not 1 mile from my house sat a Mustang and it was red. Most of the ones I had looked at were auto's and I for damn sure was not going to get another Auto. Well, this one happened to be completely stock with a 5spd save for new struts and a cobra clutch. I sold my 20ft 5500lb. El Camino and 15 minutes later bought my 1991 Ford Mustang... All in the same day! Man what a rush and a good story to tell.

BTW: It is nice to see another Medium red 5.0 on here, even if it is an LX notch hahahaha J/K!!

If you are going to powershift it its a really good idea to have a good shifter. I dont ever do it I just prefer the fast and hard method as said above. Thats beacuse I shock the tranny enough with the nitrous and drag radials. it dont need no more added stress!!!

You see what i have in my signature. I've still got my stock tranny in it and it has what i figure over 100k on it, and it still works great.(i have'nt used slicks with this combo yet). I dont powershift this car car as i feel i have enough power not to.
