i was on my way to the bank to cash my paycheck and i look at my oil pressure it was pretty low. i was sitting at the light so i though maybe its because im at idle. so i took a picture and then i get moving doing about 50 and took another picture. while driving it went up but not by much. so i get to the bank and pop the hood, first i checked my oil it was perfect still. then i looked at my oil pressure switch. the nut holding the wire on was very loose. so i tightened it and then went home after cashing my check. the gauge went up a slight bit more so im guessing it has to do with the connection. when i got home i took the nut off cleaned the terminal and put it back together. havent been out yet still gotta adjust my exhaust tips before i leave. so here are some pictures

my oil pressure drops real low sometimes while im idle it will be around 10 but then go up to like 40 or so while driving

thats not very low at all...

well i just had my car running after getting exhaust tips adjusted and its back to where it normally is so cleaning and tightening the connection was what needed to be done

hopefully thats all mine is but who knows with a 156k miles anything is possible

With that many miles you have great oil pressure, as the bearings wear they let oil by which decreases the oil pressure.

This is probably my problem, only sometimes does it go down at idle.

I like the whole terminal idea you have. My original push on connector was giving me problems but I just spliced another push on one from a junkyard car. Yours is secure cool. And my engine has a fresh rebuild and after the car is warm at idle the pressure drop considerably
