Default hesitation

Lately I've been noticing a small hesitation when I'm driving my stang. I feel it mostly when I gradually give it gas. It almost seems like a miss. All my plugs, wires and ignition equipment are all brand new. I have a MSD blaster ignition that I've had a problem with before-To make a long story short my car just died while I was driving it and found out that one of my connections that goes to the box was loose. I have since then fixed it and I thought that was the reason I was getting a hesitation but evidently not. I'm thinking it could be the ignition module?? Or when those things die do they just stop the car from running all together. One other thing I'd like to ask but I think I know the answer. Lately when I start the car after it's good and warm it will sound like it wants to die but then even out and idle good--it's just on the initial startup after it's warm. Sorry for the long post guys but I would really appreciate your help. Thanxs By the way it's a 88 mustang

Ignition modules can die altogether or they can just act up when they get too hot but then work fine once they cool down. Let the engine cool off a good bit and try it again. If the Stang drives fine after its cooled down that may be the problem. Those modules are known for problems and may be what you need. A new module.

Make sure the module has enough jelly on the back of it, thats what keeps it cool.

Can you put more "jelly" on it if it doesn't have enough? and what do you think about my surge when the car is warm and I start it up? It sounds as if its going to die at first but then evens itself out and runs smooth. Thankyou for the reply Blckstng93

Test your MSD box first. Do you have an MSD box? Or do you just have an MSD Blaster coil? Also buy a code reader.

actually, Your timing might be set to normal which might require Premium gas. ID just fill her up once in premium and see if it stops.

How do you test the msd box(yes I do have one) but it is a blaster box. It's not that old and I have it located inside the car on one of the floor heating ducts that don't ever get used. So I know it's not getting toohot.
