I was just putting on a new set of wires and while doing the passenger side i noticed the hose in the picture just sitting there by the wires. I assume i knocked it off of somewhere. The lines coming out of the back of the heads for smogare now going nowhere and when the car is running i can feel air coming out of the fitting in the picture. I dont know if this hosewas supposed to block off this line but theres no way to attach the two together because there is a bolt in the end of the hose. Ive only owned this car cor a couple months so im not sure how the previous owner had everything set up. Thanks for any info you guys can give

 

Looks like someone removed the smog equipment. The piece you are holding was atached to the pipe connecting the back of the heads. The end without the bolt was the end of this pipe. The air coming out is exhaust. If you don't have smog requirements in your area you can crimp the end of the tobe to keep it from leaking or you can remove the crossover tube and put bolts into the ports in the back of the heads.

 

Ok thats what i thought, im doing a H/C/I swap in 2 weeks so ill just crimp it off and when i do the swap im getting rid of all the smog junk. Thanks for the help

 

Get plugs for thesmog holes in the back of the heads, get rid of everything all together that way
