Default lowering springs, better ride or worse?

I am thinking about getting some aftermarket springs for my 87. Is the ride quality going to be better or worse? What are some of the better springs to go with, I want to drop it around an inch to an inch and a half.

ride quality will suffer a little, the lower you go the worse it is. I have FMS C springs and am pleased with them

is it your dd or just a weekend car? if dd id go with FMS C, if a weekend car you might go with something more aggresive like eibach drag-launch springs. just my $.02
