Default Got my HCI done!

Got it done in about 20 hours with a friend helping. Put on some GT40Ps, TFS1 cam, explorer intake, BBK unequal headers. I have a lot of detailed pics but my camera is a sony and it uses a stupid proprietary memory stick and I don't have a way to get them off the camera until tomorrow. However, here is a ****ty vid and some pics:

I've still got some little things to work out, such a few vacuum lines to take care of, a sensor that the explorer intake didn't have a provision for, and a slightly noisy valvetraing (which I think is fine, just gonna recheck the bolts).

I'll update with the step by step pics tomorrow.

Nah...just got the thing fired up. I'll be getting a tune within the next few weeks, once I get 24# injectors and a bigger TB. Drove 100 miles to get it home, not one problem.

By the way, to debunk a myth...I can confirm that BBK Unequal shorties DO work with GT40Ps just fine.

To be honest I haven't really cracked into it yet. I did once on the way home at a light up to about 5,400 rpm. I wasn't impressed, but I'm sure that's becuase I had two cams, my E7s, intake manifold, and a box of misc parts in the back (easily 150lbs), a 175 lb passenger, stock maf (I have a new one to put on tomorrow), and stock TB., and untuned. I still need to do some fiddling with the cooling system to get the EGR system working with the explorer intake.

But got dammit my car sounds so mean at idle.

The computer may need to learn all of the new modifications (to it's own extent). Also you might have been pegging out the stock MAF.

That's what I was thinking with the maf. I drove the car 100 miles from southern MD to northern MD today with not a problem on the highway. Temps were good, oil pressure good, etc. I'm thrilled that the car is running fairly well.

Sounds good brady. Glad to see you got everything done this weekend. When did you get headers? I thought you were going to use stock ones?
