unless your running big hp or trying for a new land speed record, you dont need a 9 inch and you shouldnt waste your money trying to get it to fit

Get it if it's really a locker. Thats worth more than $150. Then go to someplace like currie and get a housing with all the brackets to bolt it under a fox body. Might find out the overall width too. How do you know it's a locker?

The third member is separted from it and it says Detroit on it. Im gonna get it. then buy the housing from currie and put this thing it.

AdderMK2 - With my new engine combo that should be finished in Feb 08 Im hoping for 450whp. I know the 8.8 with good axles and locker will handle it but by the time I spend the $$ on an 8.8 I could have this 9 inch in there and never ever worry about it. Thanks for the input.

450hp is hardly anything to worry about... I was putting 400 through my stock 160k mile rear

its overkill but if you really want it do some research, there were a lot of different 9 inches made,
is it heavy or light duty? what spline diff does it have? crap like that
