ok oil pump #2 in 100miles has locked down what the !@#$% is the problem

i poured oil in it and spun it also spun it w/an old distributor minus a cam gear in the engine hell i drove it over a hundred miles now i'm alittle worried this time sounded a little like i may have a rod knockin hard to believe i'm lucky enuff tododge a bullet twice

get the better melling pumps that have the support on the bottom cover - it keeps the gears inside from being able to "walk". then, pickup a arp hard driveshaft for 20 bucks.

is this a new motor or one thats been run awhile. if its been run did you check the oil and such for worn parts pieces. gold is not good for sure!!!! another minor thing that gets some guys on occasions is gasket maker after its cured finding its way to the bottom end and cloging it up. was the old pump damaged anywhere. need more info

found a small peice of metal in the pump and its an old motor never been in it before now i figure it's due a rebuild been wantin a stroker kit anyhow that and some explorer heads and intake been tryin to figure out how to get the better half to let me turn loose of the money
