prolly nothing more than a collapsed lifter or a rocker arm adjustment.

go with the 347 if its just a weekend car. since its not a DD then u can get a little more drastic with the cam and setup and make some serious power. u can get 20-50 more hp with a 347 than the 331. (16 more cubes, 1.3 hp per cube = 20hp..every setup is different some will make more then others)

dont get me wrong a 347 can be a dd. just stating my opinion. its a fact that u can get more miles out of a 331 than a 347 b/c the 347 pistons move more per crank rotation at same rpm b/c of the rod length and stroke vs the 331. but getting an stroked engine made for alot of horses to last 100,000 miles isnt going to happen more than likely, u will either blow it some way or the other or just crack the block by wanting more hp lol

i agree i dont think ill get 100,000miles outta my 347 but i know a couple guys that have just have to be built right and with the right parts just depends on how you treat it i think a turbo'd 331 sounds pretty nice, but i love my 347 pretty fun NA right now

A roller motor makes a slight taping noise from the get go.
