What wires did you use? I had to buy msd custom cut ones with 90 degree boots.

Brady I was just having the same problem after doing my head swap. It would barely run or not run at all, my timing was just so far off. Try clocking the distributer clockwise a little bit and try starting it again. If your still having trouble I can come over and help you out one night this week.
Yeah, there's a problem though...as far as I can turn my dizzy clockwise is still at like 0* or -2* (according to the timing light), there's not enough slack in the damn wire/plug for me to turn it anymore, so I need to move it over a tooth or two to get it right. I appreciate the offer for help but I think I've got it figured out.

Mikes - No, TFS1 cam.

I used FMS wires, regular 145* boots, they fit the BBK headers great, except for the #7 cylinder. I had to use a 90* boot for that one, and the coil wire has 90* boots on both sides, so I just used the coil wire for that cylinders and a regular wire for the coil.

Man my bbk longtubes don't give me any clearance on the driver side. 5,6, and 7 are almost touching the headers.

Just an update...Have the timing at about 12*, the car idles well but throws itself into a loop every few minutes where it gets surgy, then stops...that was with the spout out. Car revs to the redline now .

I wish I didn't have to fix this damn dipstick.

I was about to suggest that you were a tooth or 2 off, but looks like you got it.... My stang was doing the same crap and running rich as hell b/c the dizzy was off a tooth when I 1st finished my rebuild.

Update, put probably 20 miles on the car today. The motor seems to be running well but rich. Now I've got coolant leak(s) to tackle. Went to leave work and there was some coolant on the ground below my car...seems like it's dripping off the sway bar. I'll probably have it pressure tested sometime tomorrow. Man, if it's not one thing it's another.

Word of advice: Those of you doing an HCI don't expect it to go off without a hitch, becuase it's guarenteed not to.
