Default noob question.. suspension

for the most part im prety new to the moddifing car scene. i understand what it takes to get hp but from what iv been reading and researching suspension sounds just as important as hp for a fast car. whatwill upgrading my suspension do? where would i star if i wanted to upgrade? thanks in advance

upper and lower rear control arms, shocks, struts, springs, subframe connectors, camber caster plates, torque box reinforcements

an otherwise stock mustang, with the suspension additions/mods I listed... will run deep into the 14's, perhaps mid 13's

how does it shave off time like that by not adding more power? how does making the car more sturdy make it faster?

ask whatever you want....

what adder is saying is upgrading your suspension improves your traction so you can launch at higher rpm and not just spine the tires

stock suspension eats up some power... think of it as making more of the power you already have....

w. upgraded suspension launching can happen alot harder at a higher rpm, tire spin is min., weight transfter increases.... which all helps put the power you already have to the ground...
