I am not trying to be a dick but I have not seen a turbo kit for anywhere near $3000, where can you get one that cheap?

How much do you think a turbo cost?
They cost the same....................................
Bare turbo kits with no fuel or maf parts cost right at $3,000
When you look at $4,500-5,000 turbo kits you have to keep
in mind they are coming with a lot of stuff an s/c kit does not come with.
Like an intercooler, injectors, fuel pump and new MAF.

It's all in the tune, but I would say about 10-12 psi.
You know you can put a turbo on for same money and make more power. ....................

RE: kennebell supercharger
yes, r.barn turbos do put out higher numbers on the dyno, but numbers arent anything. I personally believe in superchargers because they produce boost all the time, while turbos produce boost under high rpms and generally have no power down low. My friends 240sx with a RB25 swap has about the same hp as my 5.0 and weighs close to the same, but i can beat him because i can come out of the hole fast and he lags for a bit before he starts pulling.

uh, explain please.
ORIGINAL: 7upedition
10psi is average on a stock bottom end... with h/c/i you could get 12-13psi safely

First your friend has a 4 cyl. yeah it sucks off the line. we have V8's problem solved.
Boost lag on turbos was a problem of the 80's
with a proper AR sizing and turbo size. It will have full boost at 2,500 rpm just like an s/c
turbo's will launch like a ***** and have better top-end power - if done right......

RE: kennebell supercharger
i got a kb on my 94,. dont go past 6 psi until you have changed out to better head gaskets, dont get the flowzilla cuz then you have to do some extra work to run an egr since its not made for one, i got the elbow for my external egr which is fine but its a 70mm opening and using that with a flowzilla which has a 90 mm opening defeats the purpose of getting the flowzilla, all you need is the standard inlet with by pass and dont go past 10 psi unless you got some way of intercooling it. Any more questions just let me know and id be glad to help ya out.
