HELP cause i'm FU*$ed!!!
Alright, I dececided to do the plugs on my new stang (95 gt WITH 5.0) One of the plugs was so rusted, the ceramic part of the plug came out, but the threaded part stayed in!! I have nothing to grab onto, so i put a screw extractor in. It is is in there good, I have put WD-40 on it several times, but she won't turn. I am thinking of getting a propane torch the heat that bi#*ch up . I am worried though that metal shavings dropped into the engine!! Any Ideas, suggestions, or should I not put heat on it??? HELP!!
Worse comes to worse I guess maybe taking apart the motor and just trying to get it out carefully might help. Sorry I don't know but that'd be what I'd do.... not sure though so don't quote me on it.
H/C/I time? I have nothing to get a wrench on, just the remaining threads inside the hole...I have heated it, but it keeps catching fire around it, I have a screw extractor in there , and I have put on a few products for rust eating. I will try and find some pc blaster. I do not have anthing to put in to tighten it, but each time I take out the screw extractor when it is wedged in, I have to force it clockwise, so she is getting worked. Still nothing!! Some posting on the net said to get a hack saw blade, and carefully cut it in 2...I am not crazy about the metal dust dropping in! Any ideas guys?
Its PB Blaster that you want to find they have it at Wal-Mart and auto parts stores it the best product I have found for rusty items. When you get it out try vacumming out the hole to get loose metal shavings that have fallen.
Same EXACT thing happened to me. Here's what I did:
Pulled the head (just to be safe)
Put a large Easy-Out (or any extractor like you have) in there and got it nice and tight. Then hit it with PB Blaster. Forget about that WD-40 crap.
Then take a 24" breaker bar with an adapter to fit onto the screw extractor. There's nothing you can't get off with a breaker bar.
After that, she came right out with no problems. Well, one problem... I can't get the extractor out of the plug threads... but it's only $4 anyway.

sam... take the piece to a shop and have them cut the plug in half with a cutoff wheel... then you can get your piece back...
you could ship it down tome and i'd do it for you... free... pay shipping both ways... probably cost less than a buck in a USPS padded envelope
