i know i should be in the boost section but no one is ever in there and i want an opinion.. i have the 302 gt40 ford racing crate engine with 70mm throttle body 24lb injectors trick flow street intake 70mm mass air 255 fuel pump 3:73's... i drive the car everyday but want to add boost to it.. no spray.. but i want to it to last so i was thinking abou just going with like a 5 lb kit from vortech... anyone know what kind of hp gains i may get or know anyone that runs a 5lb kit

5psi will get you 60-70hp. for such a small gain it seems like a waste of money to buy a sc. if your going to buy a sc, take advantage of it. my old motor made 280rwhp n/a and 461rwhp with the sc and meth injection.

his motor makes 345hp at the crank.. i would say easily 300 to the wheels

for his daily driver 5lbs boost is perfect. the vortech kits allow u to upgrade any system too so dont worry about down the road plans.

u will see over 400hp at the crank easily

well worth the $$$ IMO

ive been planning the same thing just need to make my motor worthy first

yes it was. its the only car i have so i have to drive it from A to B. my budy is trying to convince me to sell the motor in my sig that we just built about 1000miles ago and to build a 331 in a boss block. if i decide to go for it, we will be shooting for a 600rwhp daily driver.

the motor in my sig is making an estimated 500rwhp just because the sc cant keep up with the volume demands of the motor. i havent dynoed it because i have an ems and i tuned it myself on the street. its my daily driver motor

my motor only has about 1000 miles on it right now and i know i can upgrade th 5lb system when iget bored with it but i think for now it would some more power and a little more fun... i just want the motor to last and i am afraid if i run 8 or 9 lbs it would be too much for something i put atleast 300 miles a week on... if its not raining

its fun having the s/c. even with 6psi you will feel a big difference. and going from 6 psi to 9 psi on a daily driver shouldnt be that big of deal
