degreaser spray and wipe clean, if there is an area that has a little rust sand it down, dont paint over it. Otherwise you can just scuff the paint and spray over it since, but primer wouldnt hurt. If you get to carried away with sanding it will show when you paint it so you might want to keep it smooth

Spray it all down with degreaser... Purple power or something, make sure all the oil is off or the paint will lift off the metal... Tape your fenders off so you don't get overspray all over everything... Wet sand the **** out of everything with like 400 grit, then primer it all... Then just go the the auto body store and get some regular car paint, not base coat/clear coat unless you wanna go that route... Spray a couple coats, three or so, that way its thick enough to be scratch resistant, and you should be good...
As far as time goes, i had mine sitting on the engine stand with the clutch and flywheels off with no help whatsoever, on a sn95 in a little under 4 hours... Including taking the hood and cowl off... So you might wanna work on your efficiency... Nah, its better to take your time so its easier to put back in... Good luck
