LMAO!

Oh mang, thanks for the vote in confidence fellas. LMAO!!! "Don't do it (dude I don't even know), you'll totally screw it up (despite the fact you may have some serious mechanic experience, but never messed with gears before).

After I posted the first time, I spoke to a buddy of mine I decided not to invest the money at the time. Probably something for later.

Thanks for the response tho' guys.

attempting to install gears is a $500 mistake... let a pro do it, then when it messes up.. they have to fix it

i guess i am in the minority here. i did mine myself. first time w gear install and no problems whatsoever. i think the other posters should have asked some questions about your available tools and time, your aptitude, and how much disposable money you have. everyone says don't do it. it took me about four hours, i took my time and did it right. did a lot of research first too. i learned something in the process and saved myself a bunch of money.

if you have to ask how hard it is, you are best off shopping around and finding somewhere reputable for a good price
That's almost exactly what I was going to say. There are some thins you do read about and then do on your own with minumal problems (injectors, MAF, etc.) Gears are not one of them. So as a good rule of thumb... if you don't know how to do it then you really shouldn't try. Not an insult or anything. It's just one of those things that can get screwed up rather easily.

It's not that expensive. We're talking less than $200 at even the expensive palces around here.I paid under $150 to have mine done. Well worth it in my opinion.
