Default tire sizing question

Hello,
My car is a 1987 Mustang GT
its 5spds with 3.73 gears.

I have 225-50-15 all around

I want a little taller if possible in the rear and widest I can go without touching the quad shock.
I want the front to stay the same.

What size can i put it in the rear
?
Thanks

on 15 inch tires?

245 at the most.

but if you get wider rims depending on the backspacing on them you can fit 315's

225/50/15 is too small, stock is 225/55/16
wider would be 245/50/16, and it will fit all the way around, on stock wheels

I have 225-50-15 on O.Z. wheels
they are the gold spoke type

ya for the rear they look too small to me.

What would fit on this wheel that I can put without modifying and not make the car handle weird

my mistake... stock 15" tire is 225/60/15... so yea, your tires are WAY too small

235/60/15's will fit, if your wheels are 8" wide, you can run a 275/50/15

you should atleast get the right size tire in front... 225/60/15, and a 275/50/15 rear
