Would be nice to know what year, model, tranny, etc.. Oh and the stock CR on a 5.0 is 9.0:1 so maybe you made a typo, or didn't know the stock CR??

go with some trick flow heads and a xtreme energy cam by comp cams.224 232 duration at .050,
.555 .565 , l.s.a 112. with a cobra u/l intake and notched pistons and you will be moving

You gotta have AFR heads, don't think trick flow will get you there, maybe close. I would recommened doing a stroker 331 or 347 with AFR 185 heads, then your on you way

i hadnt made up my mind about intake yet. ill most likely do afr heads. i was hoping not to bore it. just uping the compression. a few years back i help my dad build a vette and it made 400hpat the wheels off just motor but it had a wicked cam in it. i was hoping to build a motor that wasnt quite as radical. if it comes down to it i can deal with a lopey cam. i at least want something with some pop. what do you all think?
