yea i went to that website and looked up my stang, 95 5.0 and it had a 4.9 liter listed for the v-8 engine.

4.9 straight sixes suck. my brother's 93 f series has one and god it sucks

yeah...but i HAVE seen them pull like crazy we had one at work with 250k on it in a f250

yep it's all about torque baby*L* when I used to dig footers for new homes we would hook chains in a tug of war of the trucks..there was a f-150 with a 360 2 wheel drive that would pull all the others around..Had to gumbos on the rear what a sight*L*

Do the math. 302=4.9L. The 5.0 is called creative rounding. Anything from 4950 to 5049cc is a 5.0L, and iirc the 302 falls at 4949. Below the 50 you round down.
That's why Chevy gets a real 5.0 with the 305. Divide CID by 61.2 or so to get displacement in liters.

At the crank it's 225 and 300 ft-lbs according to Ford.

And when it says 4.9L 225hp V8, why would you assume they're talking about the 300cid six, which wasn't ever offered in the Mustang?
