Default Is this MAF too big for my new setup?

I am going with tf track heat heads (some porting and polishing), stg.1 trick flow cam, trick flow track heat intake, 70mm tb, 24 lb injectors, 255 lb fuel pump, full msd ignition with the AL box. I was going to buy an 80mm MAF off of e-bay that is calibrated for 24 lb. injectors. All that i know i should be looking for is something that is bigger than my throttle body. Could someone please educate me on what i should be looking for? Will this maf be ok? Thanks

An aftermarket MAF is calibrated to the injector AND the ecu. Make sure that the MAF is cal'd for you ecu as well...

If the MAF is a PMAS/ProM you should be fine.
I suggest passing on the C&L's.

If you are willing to get a new custom tune when you install the new MAF, then there are other options as well.

I was under the impression that i NEEDED a new MAF that was calibrated to 24# injectors. I have to get a tune after doing my h/c/i anyways so do i not need a new MAF?

you NEED to get a tune to run 24# injectors... you can still run the stock maf, but youve gotta get it tuned first

Your tuner can set the chip to adjust for the 24# injectors, then you can install it and bring him the car.... many people do not think of this

And because they do not think of it, they end up wasting a lot of money. They will do the H/C/I swap and then buy a new aftermarket MAF calibrated to their new 24# injectors that they just dropped in. And right after they do that they take the car to a tuner and have a chip burned. In other words, they just wasted their money on the new MAF.

It shouldn't hurt anything to go larger though

Bigger does not mean better. I personally would never use anything other than a Ford OEM MAF.. they are the most accurate
