Default Leaking Oil

I just picked up my 92 5.0 and it leaks oil about 30 drops a night.

I haven't gone under and checked it out yet, but should I just buy a new gasket, do you think that will fix the problem? I mean i'm sure it's not coming from the drain plug so worst comes to worst a new oil pan and gasket to fix the problem i'm hoping.

Let me know what you guys think and have done.

oil can leak from any gasket on the motor, pretty much. your not doing yourself any favors by guessing its the oil pan, when you could have a bad rear main, or valve covers, etc...

plus oil pans dont generally leak when sitting. the oil is well below the gasket when its sitting still.
take a look. start at the highest point and work down.

before asking for help, figure out where the leak is.

Probably the rear main. After 140k mine is beginning to leak a bit. Lots of grime between the pan and the bell with not much on the pan itself.

If the underside is covered in oil and grime clean up whatever oil you find and put a piece of cardboard under there, Check it every now and again and you have your leak.
