you have to unbolt the torque converter to get it off the flywheel
maybe you just suck with the names of parts.... take some pics and try to argue with me less... atleast I know how to remove a transmission

instead of coming on here and bitching about me telling you that you havent a clue about cars, you could take my advise from the fact that ive been working on cars since I was 13, and deal with the fact that I know more than you do.
the T5 is held to the bellhousing by four 15mm bolts, remove them and the tranny will come off the bellhousing... then you have a much smaller area to work with. To the best of my knowledge, there are 6 bolts that hold the bellhousing to the motor, 4 that bolt the backing plate to the bellhousing, and 2 that bolt the starter to the bellhousing.
after that, the only thing holding it in place are the two dowel pins, which often get corroded... pull the trans off and give the bellhousing some hell
and stick around for a while... youll see that my knowledge will help you more than you'd like to admit.

I never said tht i knew more than u, i know i dont. i was just sayin that ur knowledge would be alot more helpful if u wasnt such a douche about the way u come across. i didnt know how to remove the trans so i asked. why is it everytime someone on here has a basic ? u got to get on here and act like they freakin need to be shot or somthin fornot knowing how to do it. if i knew how to remove it i wouldnt have posted this. but im gonna be NICE about it and say thanks for the advice on removal. u have lots of knowledge i know b/c ive seen ur reply's on here, but being a jerk doesnt put u on anyones good side.
