Default pistons

having trouble getting my snap rings in my pistons. they are keith black full floating pistons that came with my scat stroker kit. ok i can get the one side clip in then i cant get the other side to clip in all the way. any ideas?

sounds to me like you are in way over your head... those are compression and oil rings, you need a piston ring compressor on them, and then slightly beat the piston into the cylinder.

i know what oil and compression rings are. let me say this again. these are full floating pistons which have clips at each end of the wrist pins and the lock rings arewhat i amhaving trouble gettin in.

With the wrist pin installed, using a new wrist pin clip and installation tool or screwdriver carefully install the clip into the wrist pin clip retaining groove so that the opening in the clip is facing towards bottom of the piston.

naw he's at the right part. im not puttin the pistons in the block im just puttin the pistons on the rods, and can only get one clip to go in the groove all the way. so, matt the opening of the clip has to be facing down?

yeah opening of the clip faces down, but that shouldnt have anything to do with the fact that you cant get the clip in[&:]
