Just as important is to watch Lobe Seperation. The lower the number the more choppy it will be.

I ran a Summit cam in an engine years ago that chopped like Nascar. I ran it on stock heads, with stock springs. I think the advertised duration was .286 and the lift was only like .471. I was running a carbed set up. That cam was a hydraulic flat tappet. Shook the body panels of my old 4 eye at the red lights idling about 900 rpm's.

You could use a (one cam fits all) E303 it has a good sound and average performance but is not by anymeans the best cam for a complete setup and you should always base cam from your head setup and what you want to use the car for like track or street or both many factors go into a cam selection (not sound)

Do something w/ the stock heads before you go thru the process of putting in a cam. It will be minimal gains. The stock cam isn't bad at all...run it w/ a set of GT40's or P's (w/ larger exh valves) and you'll see much bigger gains than from any cam on the stock heads.
