When the engine runs does it knock? The car run really bad? Engine shake like an epileptic? Sounds like that one cylinder is toast.

burns oil when you nail it. but doesnt smoke driving normal. smokes a little when u first start it up. pcv pops out on occasion, but the screen looks like its covered in ****. shakes up until about 1500rpm. valve cover keeps leaking on the side of the dead cylinder.

im gunna pul the valve cover off tomorow morning and see if everything is moving properly. i cant see bad rings having 0 compression unless there is a hole in the piston lol, bc even if the rings were that bad there shuold still be some kind of compression

There is such a thing called as a compression ring. as in a ring on the pistonhead that is designed to seal against the engine wall to create the pressure in the cylinder. If that ring is toast you could have zero compression.

the chances of him all of a sudden having 3 bad rings are very slim..
even if the compression ring blew, the oil rings would have moved the needle on the gauge at least a little bit...
he said it didnt move at all.

sounds like a stuck open valve to me, probably intake.
