my car makes this noise when you get it over 3grand and when you let off the check engine light comes on but if you go over 3grand in neutral or park dont make noise and the check engine light does not come on any suggestion

like something falling apart or a fast knock hard to exp

It must be a rod knock. It is caused by extreme bearing damage. If the rod bearings are worn or loose enough to make a dull, hammering noise, you're driving on borrowed time. Bearing noise usually happens inhigh mileage engines.Ithappened to my previous carwhenI have not had the oiland Mazda oilfilter changed regularly.

 

I geussing it is predetonation. What is your timing at? Run your codes lately? Try running higher octain fuel
