Default 94 5.0 AC PROBLEMS

I am having troubles with my A/C. Whenever I try to turn it on it doesn't blow cold air. I have sourced the problem to the compressor not spinning. How can I fix this problem? I'm a teenager with tons of mechanical knowledge on everything but A/C components and I don't feel like paying a mechanic since I have a very limited budget. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Either you have not enough freon or you have a bad pressure switch. you need to get some AC gauges and check the system. Remember... a proper system should NEVER leak. That means that if you are low on freon, dont be a moron and just put more in, find the leak, fix it, evacuate the system and make sure it holds a strong vaccum and then charge it.

There is no leak. It is the compressor pully that needs the repair.

like posted earlier, you gotta have enough pressure in the system to activate it. if it's below 1lb or so, it wont kick on. or the pressure switch is dead.
also, you might wanna make sure that the a/c controls are actually telling it to turn on.
voltmeters are your friend.
