Default H-pipe or x-pipe?

alrighty, i've noticed that there are quite a few people on here that have the offroad h-pipes. i was wondering why because i've always heard that the x-pipes are way better for sound and performance? hell, even nascar uses x-pipes for their performance dont they? just a thought...

It sounds better to some of us. And the word on the street is the HP difference is only 3-4 at best with most stangs.

I think on 5.0s H pipes usually sound better, but they can both sound good. My friend did a dyno comparison on a cup car at Nascar Tech. between H and X pipes and the H made more horsepower.

oh and ProChamber ftw

the h-pipe has a deeper more muscular exhaust note while the x-pipe has a more european sports car sound. Its all a matter of preference really.

X-pipe FTW!

Have had H pipes on the past three stangs, buddy got an X for his, and I will never have an H again. The X-pipe makes the car sound soooooo goood... Ordered my exhaust today, hope to see it tuesday or wednesday..
