pretty sure you gotta use the wire that pushes on the bottom of the starter soilinoed. that what the key activates

i put one on mine if you take the steering column cover off there will be a bundle of wires that goes to the ignition and other switches. there is a big yellow wire that is a constant power wire splice off that wire and putpower to one side of the push button. therewill also be a red wire with a blue stripe that shouldgo to your solenoid on the fender well splice another wire to that wire and hook the other end up to the other post on the push button.
