damn... the car im putting it in is a 1988 so i would like to get 1988 engine, would the valves still smash? how much hp would a new cold air intake give me?
dude i have well over $3000 in bolt ons and i bet my car just makes around 300hp...as for a cold air intake your looking at 20hp maybe...if its and 86 motor dont waste your money get a 87 -93 5.0ho and as well as you'll need a 89-93 computer and mass air and so on and so forth $1000 you might as well put that into something else http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2483042

you might see about 10-15 agian not a lot of power gains out of them but in the end they all add up. dont bother getting the cai just get a k&n cone or what ever filter you want thats not paper. think about getting junk yard gt40 heads and upper and lower intake and then get a cam to go with them
