Hey guys, I dont come in the 5.0 section much.

My friend is Buying a 86 GT t -top Looks alright.

HE HAS:
Full Exhaust(All Custom)
Some type of Cam
4.10's waiting to be installed (HE doesnt have the Car yett)
HE WANTS:
GT 40 Heads/Intake(looking for the Explorer/MOuntineer motor used)
MAF Conversion(Where can we find?)
MT ET Streets
Well this is where the 5.0 guys come in, What else will wake this car up?

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the flat top Piston issue yet, so be aware of the fact that the pistons may require notching. Unless you went with some Trick Flow's or something. You should probably try to stiffen up the car a bit, sub frames, torque box reinforcements, maybe even a cage.
Got any pics, I'm curious how she looks.

My first Mustang was an 86 LX, T-Tops.....that thing had so much wheel hop that it was almost impossible to launch it!?!?!

I would say to tighten up the suspension first and foremost...

this was a lot of help lol
if the guy has a cam in it, on a stock motor, than most likely he wont be able to put trick flow heads on it due to ptv issues. get a new 5.0 motor, they are a dime a dozen.

ok, ok, if he wants an engine out of a exploere/mountaineer then he might have better luck with cam and head swaps
