Default What size TB??

Hello all, with my mods what T/B would you get? I am planning on doing a new upper/lower intake and heads this year, so I want to plan for that. I was thinking about a 70MM TB and a 75MM MAF.... Is this a good combo? Seems to be most common, but I will only be able to get the TB right now, is that okay, or should I wait a few weeks until I can afford both the TB and the MAF at the same time.. And do i NEED to get 24# right away with this combo, or is it okay to run with the stock 19# for a while? Any help would be appreciated.

70mm tb is cool if your planning on heads, otherwise a 65 would be better

get heads, intake, injectors and maf at the same time so you can put them on all at once. just save up the money. it will be alot more fun with them all working right together. It wil also save you the effort of having to take the car apart many times. you live by palmdale im guessing, so do i. Ive been wondering about LACR, how is the track?

i would just get the 70mm and the 75 maf, you can run that combo with 19#'s but they be almost maxed out so it would be more safe to run the 24#'s

Hey, where abouts do you live? Yes I am about 25 minutes from LACR. Truthfully, the track is in okay condition, it is just the elevation that kills you. It has been around for a long time, but it well taken care of. Keeps a lot of people from street racing, that's its main purpose. Seen many 5.0's drive in off the street and run 12's .. It is good enough, but not the greatest.

Thank you everybody for your input. I will go ahead and get a 70MM TB and a 75MM MAF within the next couple weeks. Heads and intake will most likely be in September, when I get my settlement check for my car accident in 1998.

70mm tb and 75 maf would work great, and depending on heads you might need 24's, 19s will handle up to around 300rwhp (roughly) if your going to be getting heads with in a few months, i would just wait til you got em all................. might not need the 24's unless runnin 1.7's or bigger cam, MAYBE
