still will hold up. some ppl will say different but you can easily run a 100 shot with no problems. just be smart and take proper precautions. 93 octane, retard timing, smaller gap plugs

Roundman, thank you for your reply, YEah I was wondering.. Well I guess I will have to go with the AFR's DARN!! lol.. Yeah the E-303 is the legal cam, but I hear if you put on 1.73's you can almost match the performance of the E-303 with the stock cam. I was thinking about the AFR 165's and that new BBK upper/lower... Heard anything about this combo Roundy? Anyone?

Yeah, I totally understand your perspective ohsoquick, but I am not trying to go completely stip or anything, I just want a good low 13 sec street car, and I know it won't take much more than some heads and an intake with my 4.10's.. I am still considering some GT40X heads. Does anyone know if they still have the emission ports through them, as I will still need to pass smog here in Southern Cali? I have heard good things about them, bolt on 60+ HP which would be huge for me. Great input guys, thanks so much. It has been a great thread, and has helped many people reading I know.. Thanks again!
sorry but according to the FRPP 2004 catalog, the GT40X heads are not emissions legal. you can get AFR 165's that are street legal though and also some other brand heads too. to stay emissions legal in CA, you have to be really carefully in the selection of parts but you can get more performance and still stay legal if you watch what your doing and get the right cam, heads, intake, etc. that will work well together. I'm sure if you contact the FRPP tech line (number at top of section in sticky), they could help you put together the right combo of parts and pieces that will get you where you want to go and still be legal.
for what it's worth, the FRPP catalog claims 65 HP increase with just the GT40X heads.
have fun, hope you get it where you want to go with it!

1.72 and stock cam wont even compared to the e cam.....ecam 498/498 1.72 with .444 will be only .477 actually close to the .480 ofa B but the duration is what gets ya. just retard the stocker..if on a budget
